Our mission
No bright student should leave studies for lack of money
Shiksha Kosh is an initiative of the Jat Samaj of Barmer-Balotra, run with monthly contributions from government employees and supporting members of the community.
Through this fund, economically weak but talented students of the Barmer-Balotra region are selected through a transparent examination, and the community bears the cost of their education — fees, coaching, books and hostel.
Our goal: no bright child of the community should have to give up studies for lack of money.
What we do
- Collect regular monthly contributions (Standing Instruction) from government employees and members of the community
- Accept online applications from economically weak students
- Select deserving students through a transparent selection exam
- Bear the cost of fees, coaching, books and hostel of selected students
- Guidance and motivation programmes for competitive exam preparation
- Publish the account of every rupee on the website
